Apr 16, 2021 · A friend of ours also recently installed a high top on his ’92 Econoline, and he cut the entire roof out and attached the high top with nothing but screws and caulking around the edges. So I don’t think it necessarily affects the structural integrity, it’s more how the conversion manufacturer chose to install the high top and set up the van.
